DetailsThis Premium Leather Tarot Card Case features wolves howling at a full moon, engraved into a uniquely hand dyed and mildly distressed Moonlight Blue leather. The handmade tarot deck box is hand sewn with a heavy duty ivory colored thread, and includes a heavy antique brass toned clasp.
Hand crafted from vegetable tanned (naturally tanned) leather. We use full grain leather which retains the full thickness and character of the hide. Vegetable tanned leather will develop a wonderful patina with use. The case is designed to last decades and improve with age and use.
The art has been permanently etched into the leather in black.
- The front of the case features a wolf howling at the full moon
- The back of the case features a larger wolf howling at the same moon, which stretches over the top of the case.

Swirling shades of marbled muted turquoise and tan are a subtle backdrop to the art. Our hand-dyed leather process produces an array of shades with incredible depth in the color. The natural character of the real full grain leather combined with the hand dying process makes each case unique.
A heavy antique brass metal clasp keeps the case closed when not in use. A thumb slot hidden under the front flap allows for easy retrieval of your tarot cards.
Hand sewn with heavy duty ivory colored waxed thread. We use a saddle stitch, which is a proven hand stitching method for keeping all the seams super tight. The string color complements the dye and art nicely.

Most tarot card cases are sized to house a standard sized tarot deck or smaller. The standard cases will house this size deck or smaller:
2 7/8 inches (72mm) wide
1.25 inches (32mm) deep
4 15/16 inches (125mm) tall.
All our standard size tarot cases are tested at the time of creation and prior to shipping, using a classic RW deck from a US publisher. We also have listings in our shop for palm sized (slightly smaller) or oversized decks. If you need a larger case to fit your specific deck, I would be happy to custom build one for you. Vegetable tanning is an organic process to preserve the leather. It uses natural tannins from plant sources, making it more environmentally friendly. It’s a slow process which takes weeks to months to complete.
Vegetable-tanned leather has some rigidity to it, which helps the product to retain its shape and integrity. Vegetable-tanned leather will soften and develop a rich patina over time, meaning your item will develop a unique and appealing appearance as it ages, only getting better with time.
By contrast, chrome-tanned leather is quickly chemically and more inexpensively tanned. It may present toxins to the environment and manufacturing employees. "Vegan", faux, or PU leather is petroleum-based polyurethane/vinyl.
