DetailsThis is a custom made to order premium leather XL game deck case. You choose the dye color and string color, to create a case that is uniquely yours (or your special someone's). We will custom make the case to suit the user's personal style. With so many colors to choose from, you can really make it your own. We've included a handful of color combinations in the photos. All of our leather cases are hand crafted by True Craftworks in our small Missouri workshop.
The premium vegetable tanned (naturally tanned) leather will be hand dyed and hand sewn for peak quality and durability.
Extra room is added to the height for your dice, counters, etc. Flaps are added to the sides to assure your cargo stays secure inside the case until you open it.
The thick leather is hand dyed in your chosen color, with a mild distressed look (so even though your case newly handmade it will look like it has seen a game or two). We use full grain leather which retains the full richness and character of the leather. Vegetable tanned leather will develop a wonderful patina with use. The thick and durable vegetable tanned leather will last for decades while maintaining its luxurious look and feel. The case is designed to last decades and improve with age and use. Because the cases are hand dyed in varying colors, and each piece of leather is as different as a fingerprint, there will never be another exactly like it - each case is unique.
The case is then hand sewn with Incredibly tight hand stitching using a heavy duty waxed thread in your chosen color. Saddle stitched to help prevent any unravel and keep all seams super tight.
We will add a heavy metal swing clasp in antique brass that is easy to open and stays closed when you need it to.
The entire box is covered with a protective sealant and a wax finish that serves as moisture protection against the occasional spilled energy drink. The box is rugged and durable while the leather provides a rich look and feel - it's a great combination. The perfect storage for coveted game cards.
This case will stand upright and cards are placed in vertically. It was designed to hold standard card sizes (sleeved, double sleeved, or unsleeved cards) while leaving room at the top for extra dice and counters.

175+ unsleeved cards (maxing out around 200 cards)

Sizing details
There are many different sizes of card decks, so be sure to check your specific deck's measurement against your listing before ordering.
Most tarot card cases are sized to house a standard sized tarot deck or smaller. The standard cases will house this size deck or smaller:
2 7/8 inches (72mm) wide
1.25 inches (32mm) deep
4 15/16 inches (125mm) tall.
All our standard size tarot cases are tested at the time of creation and prior to shipping, using a classic RW deck from a US publisher. We also have listings in our shop for palm sized (slightly smaller) or oversized decks. If you need a larger case to fit your specific deck, I would be happy to custom build one for you. Vegetable tanning is an organic process to preserve the leather. It uses natural tannins from plant sources, making it more environmentally friendly. It’s a slow process which takes weeks to months to complete.
Vegetable-tanned leather has some rigidity to it, which helps the product to retain its shape and integrity. Vegetable-tanned leather will soften and develop a rich patina over time, meaning your item will develop a unique and appealing appearance as it ages, only getting better with time.
By contrast, chrome-tanned leather is quickly chemically and more inexpensively tanned. It may present toxins to the environment and manufacturing employees. "Vegan", faux, or PU leather is petroleum-based polyurethane/vinyl.
