A honey bee in morning glory vines is permanently etched into the front of this finely crafted bookmark made of recycled vegetable tanned leather. Certain details have been hand painted in pearlescent and metallic blue, green and gold.
It's dyed in Violet Cosmos which includes an array of Violet and purple tones.
This bookmark would make a thoughtful and unique gift for nature lovers, book lovers and readers of all ages.
Hand made from high quality full grain vegetable tanned leather, with natural and branding markings, recycled from a prior project.

Use the fewest number of pages necessary to hold your page. This will vary according to the specific book and the paper it’s printed on.
Hardcover books tend to have a heavier paper weight/thickness, and may need only one page.
Mass market paperbacks are often printed on a much thinner paper, so you may find a few pages at a time work best.
Do not place your bookmark on the thick outside cover of a hardbound book, as this could lead to stretching out the bookmark. The bookmark is only intended for book pages and not covers. -

Sizing details
There are many different sizes of card decks, so be sure to check your specific deck's measurement against your listing before ordering.
Most tarot card cases are sized to house a standard sized tarot deck or smaller. The standard cases will house this size deck or smaller:
2 7/8 inches (72mm) wide
1.25 inches (32mm) deep
4 15/16 inches (125mm) tall.
All our standard size tarot cases are tested at the time of creation and prior to shipping, using a classic RW deck from a US publisher. We also have listings in our shop for palm sized (slightly smaller) or oversized decks. If you need a larger case to fit your specific deck, I would be happy to custom build one for you. Vegetable tanning is an organic process to preserve the leather. It uses natural tannins from plant sources, making it more environmentally friendly. It’s a slow process which takes weeks to months to complete.
Vegetable-tanned leather has some rigidity to it, which helps the product to retain its shape and integrity. Vegetable-tanned leather will soften and develop a rich patina over time, meaning your item will develop a unique and appealing appearance as it ages, only getting better with time.
By contrast, chrome-tanned leather is quickly chemically and more inexpensively tanned. It may present toxins to the environment and manufacturing employees. "Vegan", faux, or PU leather is petroleum-based polyurethane/vinyl.
